1) The fall of God
A week following the November 2020 release of the PlayStation 5, Godfall was made available. It promised to fully utilize the new hardware and was advertised as a next-generation action game. Everything appeared stunning in the trailers. The images were sharp in 4K, the refresh rate seemed to be a steady 60Hz. The load times were advertised as almost instantaneous. This was a significant improvement over the PlayStation 4. Godfall fulfilled these promises when it eventually came.
Godfall was a fantastic feat in theory, but as a game, it was awful. The story was uninteresting. Although the hack-and-slash gameplay in Soulslike was passable. It required tedious grinding. One useless item after another would be yours to plunder. It was completely overwhelming.

Every area had the similar appearance, resembling tiny arenas where you would engage in constant waves of enemies. This quickly became monotonous. Being one of the first PS5-only next-generation games. Godfall was initially adored by many. However, as the initial excitement subsided, everyone was equally ready to admit that Godfall wasn’t quite as good as it initially appeared to be.
Knights of Gotham
WB Games Montréal disappeared until 2022 after assisting Rocksteady with the development of Batman: Arkham Knight in 2015. Gotham Knights, an action role-playing game with cooperative gameplay, was released around that time. Players would now take control of Red Hood, Nightwing, Batgirl, and Robin, the Bat Family, rather just Batman. The co-op and solo campaign was significant. Which was incredibly monotonous. It was a dull and slow trek. Everything that made Arkham Knight brilliant was absent from Gotham Knights.
The gameplay and visuals gave the impression that Arkham Knight was a 2022 release. In the end, a growing number of gamers concluded that Gotham Knights is a boring game. After a few months, the number of players on Steam for Gotham Knights fell to less than 1500. As swiftly as it started, the hype around Gotham Knights subsided, and now, very few people play it.
The Just Cause 4
The expansive open world, destructible surroundings, and enjoyable movement choices like gliding are all features of Just Cause 4. It’s a lot of fun, but just for the first two hours. Missions send you on quests where you have to destroy everything. It’s all the same after that. During the first several hours of Just Cause 4. You are gliding across a huge map, accepting quests, and blasting enemies. However, the same thing keeps happening a dozen hours later.
Most participants experienced a dopamine high when playing Just Cause 4. However, after the initial missions, everyone realized there wasn’t much more to play the game for after the dopamine wears off. The missions were the same. The plot was lackluster and nonexistent. Additionally, there were no noteworthy supporting characters. The battles were identical throughout the first and tenth hours of playtime. At first, everyone who played Just Cause 4 gave it high marks and suggested it. But eventually, most people came to the conclusion that. Just Cause 4 was by no means a singular experience.

The Protocol of Callisto
The Callisto Protocol, a new epic, was the Dead Space creator’s great comeback. The Callisto Protocol was hailed as a spiritual continuation of the series. Dead Space was seen as a turning point in survival-horror gaming. There was a great deal of expectation and all eyes were on it. When the game’s photorealistic graphics were displayed, it became even more apparent.
The day of release has arrived. A classic survival horror was the Callisto Protocol. Before sincere criticisms of its design surfaced, it was widely praised and adored. The story was well received, but the level design was terrible. The Callisto Protocol was modest and quite linear. One little chamber after another would be entered.
With automatic evading and basic melee attack, there was also no combat. The story was good, but what could have been the new Dead Space was marred by the poor narration and terrible gameplay. The Callisto Protocol’s fan following declined as soon as people realized it wasn’t as good as contemporary titles. The Callisto Protocol lost a lot of its appeal after the developer was forced to lay off employees.
The Starfield
The Elder Scrolls and the current Fallout series are two of the best role-playing games ever created by Bethesda. Since 1994, Bethesda had solely worked on these two series. The industry was therefore ablaze with excitement. When it was revealed that Bethesda was creating Starfield, its first new intellectual property in 25 years. People thought Starfield would be a surefire hit because of Bethesda’s history. But Bethesda’s reputation was so immense that it began to obscure the game’s lackluster quality. Because Starfield was produced by such a well-known studio, people were more interested in it than because it was a decent movie. However, it was.

Starfield’s launch was enormous. Within a week, it had 6 million players globally, but the decline was equally as crazi. At first, Starfield was praised widely. Kudos for the excellent space setting and enjoyable shooting. Although Starfield included hundreds of quests and “1000+ explorable planets,” they were terrible. The planets were created by a procedural process. They had nothing to be interested in. Five percent of them were repurposed sites, while 95 percent were landscape.
There were no long-distance ground vehicles available. The narrative detracted from the good questlines. Compared to Skyrim. Agame developed by Bethesda more than ten years earlier, the NPCs in this game were less realistic. Although Starfield had spacecraft, the flying was not smooth. You would still have to move quickly between places, and worst of all, there were loading screens everywhere you went. It was therefore not surprising that everyone began to draw attention to these issues. And as soon as that began to occur, people turned against Starfield as fast as they could.
